"HAWKSONG" |
I chose to create a movie poster of one of my favorite books titled "Hawksong," written by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes. This novel was a favorite among all my high school friends, and we have often discussed how much we wish the story would be made into a film adaptation.
"Hawksong" is a fantasy novel about shape shifters - specifically people who shape shift into hawks and other birds. This is why I created an image of a golden eye with a reflection of a hawk as the main focal point of the poster. For the movie credits portion of this design, I had fun and chose different actors who I believe would make a great cast if this novel were to be made into a movie.
The audience of this movie poster contains people of all ages, and is for fantasy and adventure lovers. It is also for those who are a big fan of this particular novel and wish as much as I do that Hollywood would make a film adaptation of this amazing story.

"INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE" |
After finding out about The International Day of Peace being set to take place on the 21st of September, 2016, I thought it would be a great idea to create a potential poster for this world event. The theme that was decided is: “Overcome Indifference and Win Peace.”
I love that there has been a specific day dedicated to spreading peace and love - to remind us all that we need each other for survival and happiness. With so much hate and war in the world, it is great to have an entire day dedicated to promoting the end of hate and inspiring peace.
The audience for this poster includes anyone amd everyone! This poster reflects an all-inclusive event, and helps promote the importance of unity and respect.
The image I used (the two hands embracing each other) was created by Deviant Art user Aixado.

"QUEEN OF DIAMONDS" |
As a young girl, I was obsessed with mermaids. My favorite movie was the Disney movie
“The Little Mermaid.” In Elementay School, at the age of five, I literally made my best friend
watch it everyday for a year. I had a Little Mermaid dress that I wore ALL THE TIME. So
naturally, I wanted to make a playing card with a mermaid theme.
I thought the Queen of Diamonds would be a perfect fit because of the common “treasure under the sea” idea that comes across most nautical stories. Here is the final product.
